The year 2015 was a good year when it came to smartphones and we saw the size of bigger sized smartphones getting more and more popular. One such smartphone that grabbed a lot of attention however is the iPhone 6S Plus, the Apple flagship that came out earlier this year. Today we’re doing a comparison between the Apple iPhone 6S Plus and the LG G4. So let’s get started.
Starting with the display, both the smartphones sport 5.5 inch displays. While the G4 sports a Quantum IPS display with a quad HD resolution resulting in 534 ppi, the 6S Plus comes with a Retina HD display with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 which results in 401 ppi. The G4 sports an 8 MP snapper on the front while the back has a 16 MP camera paired with an LED flash and OIS equipped. The 6S Plus on the other hand comes with a 5 MP camera on the front and a 12 MP unit on the back paired with a dual tone LED flash. Both the rear cameras are capable of 4K video recording.
Going under the hood, you’ll find the G4 to be powered by the hexa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC paired with 3 GB of RAM. The 6S on the other hand comes equipped with the all new 64-bit A9 chipset paired with 2 GB of RAM. To keep all this going, the 6S is powered by a 2750 mAh which is enough to keep it going the whole day while the G4 is equipped with a similar 3000 mAh battery. The G4 however had a couple of advantages here. The first one being that the G4 comes with a user removable back cover and battery which means that you can instantly charge your device from 0-100% in about 15 seconds, the only thing needed is an extra battery. In case you don’t want to carry an extra battery around, the G4 also supports Quick Charging 2.0.
Talking about the on-board storage, the G4 comes with 32 GB on-board storage which is expandable to a further 128 GB using a micro SD card. The 6S Plus on the other hand offers 16, 64 and 128 GB storage options. The G4 measures a little thicker than the 6S Plus at 9.8 mm and 7.3 mm respectively. However it has the advantage of being lighter than the 6S at 155 g and 192 f respectively. Both the devices fingerprint scanner for an extra layer of security.
