We have been waiting for a smaller and powerful iPhone model along with a smaller iPad Pro for quite some time now. And finally we got both a smaller iPhone dubbed the iPhone SE and a smaller iPad Pro as well. Other announcements that happened at the special event include a price drop for the first generation Apple Watch, launch of the Siri voice assistant for Apple TV as well as a minor iOS update as well. However, this is not all that Apple has up its sleeves for 2016.
For beginners, the iPhone SE is not Apple’s flagship device of 2016. The next flagship Apple iPhone or the Apple iPhone 7 is expected to launch by the fall of 2016. Following previous trends, the Apple iPhone 7 should feature an all new design. However, it does not seems to be the case with the iPhone 7, whereas rumors claims the Apple iPhone 7 to retake almost the same design as the iPhone 6 and 6s, whereas the newer gen iPhone 7 will be as thin as the iPod Touch, almost about 6.1 mm thin. For which, they will have to remove the 3.5 mm audio jack and replace it with a lightning port, a change we all are anticipating for the next iPhone.
Moreover, there will remain two different screen sizes of the iPhone 7, namely the 4.7 inch iPhone 7 which is expected to have 2 GB of RAM and the iPhone 7 Plus that will come with a 5.5 inch display and 3 GB of RAM.
And for those eagerly waiting to pick one from Apple’s 2016 Macbook lineup, there are surprises here as well. For starters, the Apple Macbook Pro and Macbook Air laptops will be unveiled mostly at WWDC 2016, where both the laptops will feature Intel Skylake based processors instead of Intel Broadwell architecture. This along with the all new 8 GB DDR4 RAM from Samsung based on the 10 nm architecture means you will see about 30-40 percent performance boost in the new upcoming Macbook Pro and Macbook Air. So if you are planning to sell laptop and upgrade to a new Apple laptop, this is the best time to wait.
Other eagerly awaited announcements from Apple include the second generation of Apple Watch, the latest iOS 10 and Mac OS X 10.12 operating systems along with hardware and software updates for the Mac Pro, iMac and Apple TV as well.
So, what from Apple are you eagerly waiting for? The Apple iPhone, Apple Watch or the Macbook?
